Project Description:
Beginning in April 2022, the City of Calabasas will replace the sidewalks in Old Town Calabasas. The project has been designed in accordance with the Old Town Calabasas Master Plan and Design Guidelines. Construction is expected to take approximately 6 months and will be phased out to help reduce the impact to the community.
The existing sidewalk material has reached the end of its useful life and now requires continual maintenance and repair. In addition, the City will replace existing streetlights with LED-powered ones, and replace existing sign posts, fencing, and hitching posts. The project will also enhance all crosswalks by installing new in-pavement lighting. These improvements to Old Town will preserve and enhance the “Old West” look and feel while providing pedestrian improvements.
